Der Sanqing-Palast ist eines der wichtigsten Wahrzeichen des Sanqingshan Naturparks. In dieser malerischen Berglandschaft finden sich über 200 taoistische Gebäude und Kulturgüter, die den Palast zu einem Museum der chinesischen taoistischen Kultur machen.
Der gesamte Gebäudekomplex liegt auf einer Höhe von 1.500 Metern und bietet einen atemberaubenden Ausblick auf die majestätischen Gipfel des Sanqingshan.
Die Anlagen des Sanqing-Palasts sind streng nach den symbolischen Prinzipien des Taoismus angelegt. Der Palast wurde bereits in der östlichen Jin-Dynastie gegründet und hat seitdem viele Beschädigungen, Renovierungen und Neubauten erlebt. Das heutige Herzstück bildet der Hauptpavillon mit seiner exquisiten architektonischen Gestaltung, die den hohen Stand der traditionellen chinesischen Baukunst widerspiegelt.
Im Hauptgebäude befinden sich die Statuen der drei taoistischen Weisen, denen der Palast seinen Namen verdankt. Im rückwärtigen Bereich sind Guanyin und Luohan dargestellt. Darüber hinaus finden sich auf dem Gelände Teiche, Steinpagoden und andere Denkmäler.
Alle Gebäude und Strukturen sind aus grauem Stein gefertigt und haben im Laufe der Zeit durch Wind und Wetter eine leicht verwitterte Patina erhalten, die ihnen einen besonderen taoistischen Charme verleiht.

Sanqing Flavours ist ein kleines, lokales Restaurant, das sich in der Geschäftsstraße neben dem Hilton-Hotel am Südeingang des Sanqingshan-Naturparks befindet. Das Lokal spezialisiert sich auf traditionelle Gerichte der Gan-Küche sowie auf Wild- und Bergkost.
Der Besitzer und seine Frau kochen das ganze Jahr über selbst und verwenden ausschließlich frische Zutaten, die sie täglich auf dem Markt und in den Bergen einkaufen. Tiefkühlprodukte kommen hier nicht zum Einsatz. Ihre Kochkünste sind ausgezeichnet - so kann beispielsweise ein einzelnes Hähnchen zweimal serviert werden: einmal als geschmorte Suppe mit Reis und einmal als reine Suppe, die sehr nahrhaft ist.
Die Spezialitäten des Hauses sind Gerichte mit hausgemachten, konservierten Fleischprodukten sowie frischen Bambussprossen aus den umliegenden Bergen. Diese Zutaten sind charakteristisch für die Gan-Küche und bieten den Gästen ein authentisches kulinarisches Erlebnis, das auswärtige Besucher nicht verpassen sollten.
